Saturday June 4- Saturday June 11 (Condensed)
The day was beautiful today (June 4), perfect for a nice walk around la citta (the city). Jazmin & I took our very first Subway/Train today to meet Cleo in Piazza Duomo, Milan. In order to get on the train you must pay for a ticket on a machine. The cost is 1.50 Euros & you have to place the ticket into a little machine to scan the ticket and then returned. Once the ticket is read these tiny transparent doors will open up & let you head downstairs to catch the train. We arrived to Duomo after a couple stops & at the moment I did not know I had to place the ticket back into a similar machine in order to get upstairs. However, after about 45 seconds later I found it! I scanned the ticket & was pushed by a person when the doors opened up. I didn't know what to do so I tried to scan the ticket again and again but it said it was invalid. A few seconds later, I saw a lady coming over to the machine and followed her through the doors & was on my way to see Cleo! :)

Helpful Tip: Keep you ticket until you have arrived to your starting point & prepare yourself to go through the doors like a champ! Be careful with people that do not purchase tickets! |

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II |

The Scala is also near by which is an Opra House. The City building is across from the Scala and in between both buildings is a statue of Leonard Da Vinci who isn't Milanese but did spend about twenty-five years in Milan.
The Scala has a variety of seats. Seats are all around. On the side of the building the seats are cheaper as you go higher and closer to the stage because you have to stretch to see which is not enjoyable according to Ilaria who has had a very high affordable seat. Seats towards the bottom tend to be expensive as well as the seats at the same level as the government, president, and any other important individuals in Milan. Those seats are specially reserved for them only however, if an invitation is sent out to an individual they may sit in the location of the scala.
